Scholarship Application Now Open

​The ISPE Boston Area Chapter Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce that applications for the Joel Goldenberg Memorial Scholarship and the Dan Rufo STEM Scholarship are now open. These scholarships aim to support students pursuing careers in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing by providing financial assistance for their education.

Application Period:

  • Start Date: April 1, 2025​

  • End Date: June 3, 2025​

Scholarship Details:

  • Annual Awards: Up to $20,000​

  • Disbursement: Funds are sent directly to the recipient’s educational institution and cover one full academic year, disbursed in two equal increments.​

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Membership: Applicants must be ISPE members in good standing.

  • Residency: U.S. residents.

  • Enrollment: Full-time students enrolled in an accredited college or university located in New England or the Albany/Schenectady area.

  • Fields of Study: Pursuing Certification or an Associate, Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral degree in STEM disciplines.​​

Application Requirements:

  • Completed Application Form.

  • Essay(s).

  • One Written Reference (submitted online), plus contact information for two additional references.​

  • Documentation of Costs: Proof of costs to be covered by the award.

  • Resume.​

Important Notes:

  • The award may only be used to cover costs directly billed by the academic institution and cannot exceed the balance due during the academic year.​

  • Applications are due by Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Given that a written reference is required, applicants are encouraged to begin the process well in advance of the deadline.​

  • Results will be communicated to all applicants by Monday, August 4, 2025.​
