Created in 2017, the Scholarship Foundation is the charitable giving arm of the ISPE Boston Area Chapter. Although closely aligned with the Chapter’s goals, the Foundation is a fully autonomous entity with its own unique mission, Bylaws, Board of Directors and operating budget organized exclusively for charitable purposes that qualify as exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Foremost among the Foundation’s charitable activities is the Joel Goldenberg Memorial Scholarship Program. Created by the Chapter in 2011 in memory of Past President Joel Goldenberg, and now administered by the Foundation, the Scholarship Program has awarded over 100 scholarships to area students preparing for careers in the pharma and biopharma industries.
The ISPE Boston Area Chapter is the largest and most active Chapter of ISPE, an international organization whose mission is to support pharma and biopharma professionals across the globe. Founded in 1992, the Chapter has grown hand in hand with the region’s thriving pharma and biopharma industries and now provides educational, career development and networking opportunities to over 1,600 technical professionals in the New England and Albany/Schenectady areas.
