The Joel Goldenberg Memorial Scholarship Program is named for a past president of the Boston Area Chapter whose wish was to support the educational pursuits and career development of talented individuals. Scholarship awards are merit-based and target individuals pursuing formal education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) at educational institutions located in the New England and Albany/Schenectady areas. Designed to promote careers in the development and operation of pharma and biopharma enterprises, the Program favors future engineers and skilled professionals who will ensure these enterprises continue to grow, innovate and prosper.
Award recipients receive up to $2,000 or an amount equal to the costs related to a specific course or courses, whichever is less. Individuals may receive awards in multiple rounds, with an individual lifetime limit of $8,000 ($4,000 undergrad and $4,000 grad/continuing education).
